Service Description
****This group's first meeting is September 27, 2022 @ 7:30 PM**** One of the main reasons for divorce is money and sex (or lack of), but underlying these issues lie a very important element - that is intimacy! Intimacy is vital to a relationship and is required to have a healthy relationship. We must realize that intimacy resides in the emotional area of the spirit and is as important as the actions/behaviors, and thoughts of a person. To have a healthy intimate relationship, I feel that there are many elements but some of these are the need to be valued and heard by your partner and also, the feeling of being one with your partner. Aligning one's self with another in ways that offer you a connection that you may have never enjoyed. Connecting isn't just an emotional element, but a valued spiritual element. As a pastor, I believe that we need to be connected to God the Father, through Jesus Christ, and empowered by God the Holy Spirit. Once we are secure in that relationship, we can connect spiritually to others developing a ONENESS! Oneness is a healthy self-identity with a strong connection to another. The lack of intimacy results in many from fear and this fear comes from pain, usually from a primary caregiver. When this pain remains unresolved, it stops people from allowing others into our hearts. This is a form of defense and protection from pain. There is HOPE for a path to freedom and peace! "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love." 1 John 4: 7-8
