****This group's first meeting is June 27, 2022 @ 7:30 PM**** We all suffer grief! Don't allow anyone to lead you on the wrong path on this issue. You may suffer and grieve from many different losses in your life, such as the loss of: a spouse, a child, a sibling, a parent, or a friend, etc. However, we also need to grieve the loss of: our pets, a marriage, a job, or a friendship, etc. Loss is Loss! You also need to take the time to grieve and don't listen to anyone tell you that you should be "over that by now!" You take the time you need to work through the five stages of grief: Denial/Shock, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance! The key I teach is that we don't want to get STUCK in any one place. The goal to grieving is NOT TO GET THINGS BACK TO NORMAL...as your whole life may have changed...it is to find and accept the new "normal" of your life. Isaiah 53: 3-4, "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted."
