****This group's first meeting is September 27, 2022 @ 6:00 PM**** Abuse comes in many different forms: emotional, physical, sexual, psychological, mental, etc. Here are some staggering statistics just on the issue of domestic violence abuse from the NCADV: 20 people a minute are abused which is approximately 10 million people per year. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men have suffered severe abuse from an intimate partner, 1 in 7 women and 1 in 25 men have been injured by an intimate partner, 1 in 10 women have been raped by an intimate partner, and on a typical day, the national hotline for domestic violence abuse receives approximately 20, 000 phone calls. Staggering isn't it? That is just for domestic violence abuse. Can you imagine all the other abusive issues if we combined them? Well, this is why this small group exists. First, we want you to know that you are not ALONE! We stand by you and with you! Many of us have been, or are being, abused TODAY. This must stop! We are here to share love and experiences with each other to help others grow, learn and heal. Abusing another person is not all right or acceptable. If you are being abused or are an abuser, we welcome you to join so that you can overcome and find freedom! John 14: 27, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
